Nottingham MedChi Past Presidents

Role of the MedChi President

Presidents alternate between primary and secondary care with handover taking place at the AGM each June. The President works closely with Council and arranges the MedChi lecture series during the academic year, alongside various activities and social events.

Honorary archivist Mr Paul Swift compiled biographies of MedChi Presidents in the book ‘From Sawbones to Keyholes, Presidents of Nottingham Medico-Chirurgical Society 1828-2002’ supported by Mr John Bruce. It was edited by Professor Peter Toghill, who also coordinated the later President biographies.

It was published by www.tucann.co.uk in 2002 (ISBN 1903172276).
