Nottingham Medico-Chirurgical Society Charity collect, use and are responsible for storing certain personal information about you. - The website links with PayPal and GoCardless: These services will set their own cookies to enable them to process payments. Such cookies are not controlled by MedChi and users of the website should consult the privacy policies of these third parties directly.
This information helps us to build a profile of our users. Some of this information may be aggregated or statistical, which means that we will not be able to identify you individually.

Personal information is not kept on our website, but sent to the MedChi Society Charity Administrator and stored for contact purposes

We may share your information with law enforcement agencies in connection with any investigation to help prevent unlawful activity.
Marketing
On completion of the Membership form you will be asked to confirm that you are willing to receive information on our Talks, Events, Social Events and information relating to other parties that may be of interest to our Members.

When the Membership or Event booking form has been completed, you will be emailed details by our Administrator or Council/Charity Member.

Your details will be kept by the Society Charity for as long as you are a Member and also after unless you say otherwise for historic purposes.

The consequence to you of our use of your personal information is:
You will be sent emails throughout the year notifying you of Lectures, Events, Social Activities and other information supplied by Council/Trustees/Members.
Keeping your information secure
We have appropriate security measures in place to prevent personal information from being accidently lost or used or accessed in an unauthorised way. We limit access to your personal information to those who have a genuine business need to know it. Those processing your information will do so only in an authorised manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
We will also use technological and organisation measures to keep our information secure via the NUH server and abide by their policies and procedures.
Indeed, while we will use all reasonable efforts to secure your personal data, in using the site you acknowledge that the use of the internet is not entirely secure and for this reason we cannot guarantee the security or integrity of any personal data that are transferred from you or to you via the internet. We will not personally transfer your personal information outside of the EEA, although when using Twitter, they do send information to Twitter USA (see item relating to this on the Cookie site).
