Susannah Basile, interim CEO ‘Doctors in Distress: Caring for those who care for us’
Susannah Basile has been part of Doctors in Distress since its inception in 2020 and currently serves as the charity’s Interim CEO. With a background in politics and communications, she brings a deep understanding of how powerful narratives can drive cultural change—particularly around mental health in the medical profession.A passionate advocate for open conversations and systemic support around mental wellbeing, Susannah is committed to breaking the stigma that too often prevents healthcare professionals from seeking help. Her work focuses on creating environments where people feel empowered to speak up and supported to thrive.
Susannah lives in Cambridgeshire with her husband and young son, and continues to be inspired every day by the resilience of those working on the frontlines of healthcare.
